Mrs. Alessandro grew up in El Dorado County and graduated from CSU, Sacramento with a BA in Mathematics. She has taught mathematics at a variety of schools from 6th grade to the high school level. She married her high school sweetheart in Kapalua, Maui in 2005 and has since become the mother of two wonderful boys and two sweet Labrador Retrievers. In her spare time, Mrs. Alessandro enjoys photography and spending time with her friends and family.

Mr. Blum graduated from California State University at San Jose in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice and a minor in Business.  He served as a deputy sheriff for the County of San Mateo for thirty-two years.  He then became a teacher for the Challenger Schools in Palo Alto.  He taught 4th grade for two years and then middle school for five years teaching science and history.  He distinguished himself by being awarded a John Hopkins Fellowship in the SDB in 2005 for excellence in education.  His passions outside of teaching include his gransons, photoghraphy scuba, Boy Scouts, fishing, camping and tinkering around his home.
