How much does Extended Day cost ?
Please see the
Do we need to commit to one of the plans listed for an entire trimester ?
Golden Hills School recommends registering for plan A, B, C or E to schedule accordingly for the period of time specified. In doing so, the cost is covered by the deadline and no payments need to be made until the next trimester (as long as no late arrival fees occur). Plan D is designed for children whom may wish to attend Extended Day on an irregular basis. Please choose a plan that best fits your family's schedule.
Who may attend Extended Day?
Any Golden Hills School student from Kindergarten onwards may enroll and participate in the Extended Day at Golden Hills School.
Where do I go when I need to collect my son/daughter from Extended Day?
If we are in a location other than our home location (Computer Lab/Science Room), a message will be posted on the door of the middle school building, closest to the parking lot, letting you know where we are and which entrance to use.
Will snacks be provided at Extended Day ?
Snacks must be provided by the parent or guardian for each child attending Extended Day and Enrichment each day the program runs. However, if your child will be staying in Extended Day later than 4:45pm a snack will be provided at that time.
How do I register my child ?
For all plans (excluding Plan D), please complete the Extended Day Registration 2011-12 sheet and turn it into the Front Office by the Friday before the beginning of each trimester. Please also include your payment with the Registration Form. For families registering for Plan D, registration is only required one time during the school year. Registration forms can be found on the GHS website or in person from the ED Director.
Can I register more than one of my children ? Do we receive a discount ?
Yes. You may enroll any or all of your children who attend GHS in grades K-8 in the Extended Day program. We are now offering discounts for siblings who attend the Extended Day program in the same month for Plan D. The discount will consist of a 15% cost reduction, which will apply to the sibling with the least number of hours recorded for each month.
May I pick-up my child without communicating with a Golden Hills School Extended Day and Enrichment staff member ?
No. Each day the Extended Day programs are in session, the acceptable parent or guardian listed on the release form must sign-out his/her child. This is to ensure the safety of the child and to document the time in which the child was picked-up. Late arrival fees may apply when the child is not picked-up by the specified time for his/her plan.
