What Is GHS Scrip?

Scrip is a program specifically designed to help schools raise money. Pre-negotiated rebates are provided to GHS by participating merchants. This means that virtually EVERYTHING you purchase during the year  can be purchased using scrip  - providing GHS with rebates.

There are three basic ways you can participate in the scrip program.   Scrip gift cards can be purchased at the front office, there are two on-line shopping malls that provide scrip rebates and you can receive credit for grocery purchases by using customer loyalty cards at Raley's/Bel Air, Safeway and Nuggett.   These programs are discussed in more detail below under "GHS Scrip Vendors".

What Is My Annual Scrip Requirement?

The annual scrip commitment is $4,400 of scrip purchases per GHS family. Scrip purchases include all items you purchase using of any  our scrip merchants. The  scrip year begins on June 1st for the upcoming school year and ends on May 30th. We encourage you to exceed your annual goal; remember,  every dollar we raise through the scrip program is a dollar we don’t have to raise through other sources.

Can I Earn Scrip Through Grocery Shopping?

Yes.

Raley's/Bel Air offers a scrip card called "Quality of Life".  Each time you shop,  present the card to the cashier and a percentage of your purchase will go to GHS. Raley's scrip cards are available in the GHS Front Office.   You must register your card online to receive credit for your purchases.

Nugget offers a scrip card that can be loaded and reloaded with a specific dollar amount when you go to check out your groceries.   Nuggett scrip cards are available at the customer service desk at Nuggett.

Safeway offers a Safeway Club Card. Each time you use your Safeway Club Card at check out,  Safeway will automatically give a percentage of that day's purchases back to GHS.   To get started ask for a card at Safeway and than register online with www.escrip.com.

Whole Foods will be open in Folsom soon. $25 and $100 gift cards are available at the front office.

How will I know I am meeting my annual scrip requirement?

GHS will mail you a "purchases to date" report in November, February and April of each year so you will know how close you are to meeting your scrip goals.

What if I don’t meet my annual scrip requirement?

If your annual scrip requirement is not met, you will be required to pay GHS for any amounts you have not met in proportion to your unfilled committment.

How Do I Order Scrip During The Summer Months?

The GHS Front Office is open from 9:00 am-12:00 pm Monday through Friday during the summer months.   You may call the GHS Front Office to order scrip cards.   You will be notified via email when your scrip cards are in for pick up.   You may also access www.onecause.com and www.escrip.com anytime by visiting websites.
