GHS is committed to providing a caring school community. Our aim is to provide an environment that emphasizes, educates and models being a person of good character, and making positive and ethical choices. The specific character traits are designated by the Five Points of our GHS Golden Star. They are: Responsibility, Citizenship, Respect, Compassion, and Integrity. Throughout the school year the students will have monthly meetings to ensure that:
1. The students at every level understand and agree that the trait is important.
2. Have a desire to genuinely adopt this trait.
3. That they understand both how and why to apply that trait in their daily living.
The goal of our GHS Character Development Program is to involve our students, parents, faculty, and administration in promoting sound ethical, intellectual, and social development among all members of our GHS community. |
