Golden Hills School is a private non-profit school that adapts instruction to the performance and ability level of its students in the areas of reading instruction and mathematics.  Golden Hills School’s philosophy is that any student of average or higher ability who is willing to work hard can succeed at Golden Hills School.  The focus on small group instruction allows a variety of learners to be successful.  Regardless of ability level, we ask that each student perform at his or her personal best.

At GHS we offer our students “A Complete Education” at a value we feel is un-matched in the Sacramento area.  In addition to the basics in english, math and science, we offer enrichment courses and modules in drama, music, computer science, Spanish, personal development, physical education and after school sports programs.

wonder girlOur parents generously volunteer to supplement the teacher’s curriculum by teaching modules in their areas of expertise: computers, science, sports education, etc.  The dedication of GHS teachers and administration, combined with strong parental values provided GHS with state-of-the-art facilities for music, drama, dance and computer science.

GHS students have consistently scored above the 80th percentile in standardized testing in math, reading and language arts.  GHS students are recognized by administrators in both private and public high schools as academically well prepared and mature individuals.  More than 85% of GHS students have gone on to college with some receiving scholarships, awards and other forms of recognition for their outstanding performance.

At GHS, we teach, practice and continuously reinforce what we call a values based education and believe this significantly contributes to the lack of disciplinary issues at the school.  GHS teachers quote this lack of disciplinary issues as a major contributor towards their effectiveness as educators and the results their students achieve.

Our policy of small class sizes and ability level grouping enables us to effectively teach to your child’s abilities and pace.  High performing students are continuously challenged and the self confidence of those needing extra help in certain areas is maintained.

A Complete Education from GHS can provide your child with the foundational tools to become a leader; respected and admired for their integrity, character and academic achievement be it in the sciences or the arts.

Please call to schedule an appointment to tour of our school and further discussion of the complete education we can offer your child.
